Do you have a ton of turkey leftovers? Any stuffing and gravy still in the fridge? Drumroll please! We present to you: The Ross Geller Tribute Sandwich. Remember the Friends episode where somebody in Ross’ office steals his special post Thanksgiving turkey sandwich and he goes mental? It’s so good because Monica put in a special ingredient: The Moist Maker, a layer of gravy soaked bread. We’ve decided to up the game even more: For this sandwich, we soaked stuffing with gravy and added that as a layer to make an unforgettably delicious sandwich. Make a few of these and you’ll be using up those leftovers in no time!
Ingredients:
1 cup stuffing
6 tablespoons of warm gravy
3 slices toasted sour dough bread
Shredded or sliced turkey
Mayonnaise
Dijon mustard
Lettuce
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced red onion rings
Optional: chips and bread & butter pickles
Pour the warm gravy over the stuffing in a small bowl and let it stand until the stuffing has soaked up the gravy. Put mayonnaise on the bottom slice of sourdough, as much or as little as you want. We prefer slathered, but that’s up to you! Layer turkey, tomatoes and lettuce on top of that. Place the second slice of bread on top of the lettuce and spread the gravy soaked stuffing on top of. Top the stuffing with red onion rings. Spread Dijon mustard on the third slice of bread and place it mustard side down on on the top of the sandwich. Serve with chips and pickles.
