King Oyster Mushrooms are truly mushroom royalty! They can be up to about 6 inches tall, have a meaty texture and
a lovely, deep umami flavor, kind of a like a really good champignon on steroids.
As with most things that are super fresh and delicious, the cooking key is simplicity. Some ghee (or olive oil if you prefer), parsley, flaky sea salt and freshly ground pepper are all you need to make a scrumptious meal.
Happy Weekend everyone!

Ingredients
3-4 king oyster mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic, coarsley minced
2 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt (more to taste)
freshly ground pepper
Preparation
Cut each mushroom into four slices.
In a large pan, melt the ghee on medium-high heat. Add the garlic. Sauté for a minute.
Place the mushroom slices in the pan. Add the parsley.
Cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Flip over and cook for another two minutes on the other side.
Remove from the pan and spoon the garlic and parsley over the mushrooms. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freshly ground pepper.
Serve immediately.
